At Community Yoga
Fund Raising Event June 2020
Cost: £15.00 (for the full day)
AtYoga are passionate about taking yoga into the local community; building foundations for improved physical and mental well-being through yoga practice.
AtYoga practice what we preach; we donate our time and resources to the practice of Karma Yoga by giving back directly to the heart of local community services.
Each Year AtYoga build connections with local charitable and voluntary run services and organisations who have a vested interest in the delivery of yoga for their service users. Once we have met the organisation and got to know the service users and their specific needs, we then organise Fund Raising Yoga Days. These days raise funds for the provision of yoga based classes and activities for the service users to access.
In recent months AtYoga have been building bridges with a local homeless charity, an AtYoga trainee teacher is currently providing adhoc voluntary yoga sessions for the homeless service users.
Our next Fund Raising goal is to facilitate a Day of Yoga to raise enough funds to provide a more structured yoga course for the service users and gain valuable feedback on the benefits of yoga for this specific group of vulnerable members of our society.
Our fund raising days are fun and interesting, facilitated by a broad spectrum of teachers from a wide range of disciplines and schools of thought. Days consist of a multitude of teachers giving short practices and sessions, there is anything from dynamic asana, cakra dancing, meditation and face yoga, plus much more!
Fund raising days provide an ideal opportunity for practitioners to experience a wide range of yoga practices taught by experienced and diverse teachers whilst providing teachers and trainee teachers a great opportunity to network and gather ideas for their own classes and events. Plus all attending are having a direct input into supporting the needs of charitable community based organisations.
Our days are about sharing and giving.
Days are only £15.00 per person to attend and all proceeds go directly to the charitable organisation who book the teacher and pay them direct.
